Event Attire

  • Update: In order to reduce the burden on attendees, the uniform requirements for the event have been relaxed. Dinner Dress Blue is no longer a required uniform for senior ranked attendees and SBD-As are now an authorized uniform option.

    Service members may also choose to wear equivalent black tie civilian attire in lieu of uniform.

    Authorized Uniforms For The Event

    Uniform items for the ball are available for purchase online from the Coast Guard Exchange (CGX). Uniform items may also be available from the Navy Exchange (NEX).

    Additionally, some items may be available from the CG Base NCR Lucky Bag on LL1.

  • Service equivalent of Dinner Dress Blue or Dinner Dress Blue Jacket such as Blue Mess, Evening Dress "B", or Mess Dress or Service Equivalent of Service Dess Blue such as Service Alphas or Service Dress.

    Attendees may also choose to wear equivalent black tie civilian attire.

  • One member may choose to wear in civilian ball attire (i.e. black tie or evening gown) in lieu of service uniform.

  • Retired military personnel may wear the service uniform of his/her rank or rating at the time of retirement.

  • This is a Black Tie event. Aim to look sophisticated and polished while adhering to the formal dress code.
